I am making initial plans for a birding trip to Smith Island on April
9,
2005. Normally Captain Tyler departs to the island from Crisfield but
I
think they will do a trip for us from Point Lookout which would be
more
convenient for most of us. I am waiting for a reply about this now.

To make this trip go, I need to find out how many of you would be
interested. We probably need to have at least 18 folks before the trip
would
be feasible and keep the price down. The more participants, the cheaper
the
cost. As an indicator for the cost, the cost from Crisfield for a
group
would be $18 (not including lunch on the island) from May 29th to
sometime
in October. I suspect a little more since it is longer sailing time
from
Point Lookout.

Please reply to me off-line at the address below if you are interested
in
this trip. I will provide additional details as information becomes
available. I would like to have your initial reply by the 24th (one
week). I
know this is quite a long time before the trip but I like to plan
ahead. You
will not be held to your response at this time, however, when it gets
closer
to trip time, this will change.
