Birding 7/17-7/19 West Virginia

Hello Birders,

  During a short trip camping slong the South Branch of the Potomac, near Springfield West Virginia, I finally got to do some bird watching first time this summer. The weather was pleasant, with overnight showers. Birds observed & heard were:
1 pr Rose breasted Grosbeaks, 6pr Bluebirds, 5 Meadowlarks, 1 B&W warbler,
2 Indigo Buntings, goldfinches, Balt Orioles, Green Heron, Blue Heron, Chipping Sparrows, Field Sparrow, Great Horned Owls(heard nighttime & Barred Owl,& Screech Owl,) 1 Killdeer, Song Sparrow, Warbling vireo and house finches.
Hope to return next week to scout more birds....
