While canoeing down the North Branch of the Potomac a few weeks ago, I had
the enjoyable experience of going down a set of rapids outside the boat.
Unfortunately, my Swift Ultralites were around my neck at the time and went
into the river with me. (Observations on the wisdom of canoeing down rapids
with binoculars around one's neck will not be appreciated - unless they're
both original and clever; and given the number of comments I've already
received, I find that highly unlikely).

They have since dried out, but the inside surfaces of the lenses are filthy
and they're not much good anymore. Does anyone know if they can be saved?
Has anyone had experience with a camera store or binocular repair shop that
can take apart and clean a pair of binoculars?

Thank you.
