Rick and others,

I visited on Borders on and on sale was a Falcon Guide to Hawkwatching sites
in the US. I checked out the MD sites, which listed eight to ten sites. The
guide gave a rating for each site, directions and whether good for the
Spring and Fall migration. Most of the known sites, Fort Smallwood,
Assateague, Elk Neck, Washington Monument were listed. I do not believe Town
Hill was one of the sites, though I could have missed it. What I thought was
a weird site listed was the Roth Rock fire tower in Garrett County. Anyway,
if your interested in hawkwatching across the country, the guide could be
useful.

My vote for a Hawkwatching site near Montgomery County would be Washington
Monument or Sugarloaf.

Regards,

Dave Powell
