What a fantastic fall migration day today at a wonderful birding location. Turkey Point in Elk Neck State Park.
Parke John and I were hoping that the cold front would start things up here in Cecil County and we were right.
There were high numbers of birds everywhere.
10 species of warbler
All of the possible swallows Including Cliff.
4 species of vireo
Both Orioles
Both Tanager's including a very interesting Tanager that really opened my eyes. Parke had a better look at,
it even thou I pointed it out to him. The dark wing and white wing bars and the yellow body with red on the back of the head.
That will wake you up in the morning real fast.
I will just mention the high lights for me. This was 4 hours of birding this morning. 7:30 to 11:30. There is just a ton of food out there this year also.
