Hello to all,

Since Marty has to work today and it is our first anniversary being partners
we decided to take a few hours this morning and go birding. What a great
idea and we were rewarded with the following sightings:

2 red tail hawks
turkey vultures
2 terns (sp)
1 kestrel
several crows

Longneck Road...
least sandpiper
Northern mockingbird
killdeer
lesser yellow legs
greater yellow legs
100 or more cattle egret, most which were on a tree
red tail hawk
indigo bunting
mature eagle
immature eagle
field sparrow
cliff swallow
Great Blue Heron
belted King Fisher
pectoral sandpiper
barn swallow
tree swallow
black and turkey vultures
Northern Harrier
foresters tern
3 Glossy Ibis which I photographed from a good distance
snowy egret
great egret

Camp Brown Road....
Great Blue heron
4 great egrets and 2 snowy egrets which I photographed in a field
doves
American goldfinch
blue grosbeak
indigo bunting
field sparrow
chipping sparrow

Airdale Road....
Eastern kingbird
vultures
herring, laughing and great black backed gulls
Great Blue heron
osprey
adult eagle
foresters tern
royal tern

What a day and that doesn't include the many songbirds in our yard at home
plus six ruby throat hummingbirds and this morning a Great Blue Heron that
was heading for our 220 gallon pond to try to get our goldfish before he saw
me at the kitchen window.

Hope this encourages everyone to go out and enjoy this beautiful weather and
happy birding to all.
