Lots of titmice & chickadee youngsters running around my house. Just saw a fairly recent brood of titmice chasing Mom & Dad around begging for food. A recent brood of Carolina Wrens have been very noisy. A couple of weeks ago, the crow family was raisy quite a ruckus, especially just after dawn. The local Red-shouldered hawk family fledged at least one baby that up until a couple of weeks ago was flying around and still squawking for food from Mom & Dad. Now the hummingbirds are going nuts. I'm not sure that the male who defends the feeder from all others has had a chance to eat anything as he's so busy driving off all the other females, males and juveniles - quite comical. If anything, the Downy Woodpecker young were missing from my yard this year. But, I've been in school or studying nearly 24/7, so I very well could have missed them.
