Hello.

Since no one else has posted this yet.... The ridge at Rock Creek Park
was lively this morning after a night of strong northwest winds. The day
started off very slowly, but eventually, around eight or so, several
mixed flocks of warblers passed through the maintenance yard. Thirteen
species of warbler were present in and around the yard:

Blue-winged Warbler
Nashville Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler (seen by others, but not by me)
Blackburnian Warbler
Cerulean Warbler (seen by others, but not by me)
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Worm-eating Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Wilson's Warbler

Other birds present included Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (reported by
others), a possible Black-billed Cuckoo (also reported by others),
Baltimore Oriole, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Yellow-throated Vireo, and
increased numbers of Red-eyed Vireos and Tufted Titmice. I hope I did
not leave anything out. Several other birders were also present in the
maintenance yard this morning and kindly pointed out some birds I
otherwise would have missed.

Good birding,

John Beetham
