Hi all --

A good day at Rock Creek Park DC, as might have been expected with 13
species of warbler (actually we heard it was also good yesterday, though we
didn't make it because of a conflict). Rather quiet at first but then
several warbler flocks came through about 8 am and caused quite a bit of
excitement. However, it quieted down about 9:30 am -- but migrants are
starting to arrive!

Most birds were tallied near the stable and maintenance yard.

Warblers: Blue-winged (1), Black-and-White (2), Black-throated Blue (3),
Blackburnian (3), Black-throated Green (2), Chestnut-sided (3), Magnolia
(3), Nashville (1), Pine (1), Redstart (5), Wilson's (1, lovely male),
Wormeating (1), Common Yellowthroat (6).

Others: Yellow-bellied Flycatcher (1, incredibly cooperative, sitting out
for all to see at leisure), Least FC (1), Wood Pewee (6), Great Crested FC
(1), Red-eyed Vireo (15), Yellow-throated Vireo (1), Veery (2), Wood Thrush
(4? hrd only), Baltimore Oriole (6), Scarlet Tanager (2), Rose-breasted
Grosbeak (1), House Wren (12), Gray Catbird (35, really movin' out!), Brown
Thrasher (1), Chipping Sparrow (20), RED-HEADED WOODPECKER (1, flyover),
Yellow-billed Cuckoo (2), Ruby-throated Hummingbird (2).
