Matt Hafner & Dave Powell just refound the White Ibis at a slightly
different location than that previously posted.

From Blue Mash Nature Trail Parking lot, take the trail along the road.
Where the trail bends to the left, walk up the little hill...it is in a pond
with Canada Geese.

Good Birding!

Jim,
While I was viewing it yesterday with John Pangborne, the ibis and egret
spooked and both flew off to that pond briefly before returning to the bigger
pond inside the landfill area. So be fore-warned anyone who may be looking,
you may have to try either pond to find it. There is a 3rd group of
"sewage-type settlement" ponds inside the fence near the landfill, but they are
completely invisible from anywhere outside the high fence surrounding the landfill.
They seem to be attracting some shorebirds, though, and I wish I could get a
look into them.
