Blue Mash Nature Trail, Montgomery County, 23 Sep 04, 0700-0900

Higlights along the BMNT this morning included:

- 3 Northern Harriers flying south low and slow in procession overhead.
- 30+ Killdeer flying south in a loose group brilliantly illuminated in the
morning light.
- 250 Canada Geese on the pond all profiled left to right (no anomalies).
- Summer Migrants: 2-Green Heron, 1-Yellow-throated Vireo, 1-Magnolia
Warbler, 2-Palm Warbler, 3-Common Yellowthroat, 1-Ovenbird, 3-Indigo
Bunting.
- Winter Migrants: Song Sparrow, Tufted Titmouse and woodpeckers increasing
in numbers, Blue Jay everywhere & 1-White-throated Sparrow.

BMNT count still holding at 122 species.
