I just stepped outside my building at 23 & E Streets, NW in DC and there
were several dozen Chimney Swift hawking insects overhead.

Rick, I also saw a single Chimney Swift flying north on Monday evening, and
I'm at the other end of the county from you. I guess these swifts read the
Yellow Book and realized their solid line was about to end. Or maybe they
were adult birds on their way to a political rally... you must have heard
about the group "Veteran Swifts for Truth"!
