Blue Mash Nature Trail, Montgomery County, 21 Oct 04, 0800-1000

A cool, damp and drizzly walk along the BMNT this morning turned up the
following sparrow species:

E. Towhee
Field
Savannah
Song
LINCOLN'S (4)
Swamp
White-throated
White-crowned
Dark-eyed Junco

Other birds of interest:

Sharp-shinned Hawk-1
Am. Kestrel-1 (being harassed without mercy by a mockingbird)
E. Phoebe-1
Ruby-crowned Kinglets-10+
Palm Warbler-5 (eastern)
Common Yellowthroat-1

The beaver in the pond have been active as evidenced by a newly felled aspen
tree and an extensive renovations on the lodge.
