I'll second the swifts. I saw a few in Southern Rock Creek Park while driving Sunday night near the Watergate.

These aren't incredible sightings, but I thought I'd pass along the
following, which were at Georgetown Reservoir this (Sunday, 10/24)
afternoon:

c.14 Tree Swallows

c.20 Chimney Swifts

both are getting late for DC.

Also there were 8 Ring-necked Ducks and 4 Killdeer.

Of course I studied the swallows and swifts closely, hoping to find
something noteworthy, but no such luck. But now is the time for something
good to show up, so keep your eyes pealed.

Good birding,
