I still have my one Chipping Sparrow on the ground at my feeder area. The White-throated Sparrows have arrived. I have one Brown-headed Cowbird left. The number of House Finches and Goldfinches have greatly increased. The Barred Owls still hoot right outside the bedroom window at 11 pm and 6 am. Two days last week we had the Screech Owl right outside the living room making his "song". Note of interest - our Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and Wood Thrushes left at the same time: Oct. 4 before the bad weather.
