As a segment of the Refuge Week Events at Eastern Neck, the Kent County Bird
Club held a Hawk Watch at the Narrows Bridge on Saturday, October 23 (in
essence, this was a Big Sit Redux, except that we could wander outside the
circle)
We were on location from 10:00 AM until 2:30 pm. The weather was clear and
breezy, with no clouds in the AM, building to a moderate number of clouds by
afternoon.
We had a 9 species of migratory diurnal raptors, and a total species count
of 43.
