Rick,
    I wasn't judging the birdiness of the area, just the physical layout.
Somehow I find it hard to get in a real romantic mood for birding when I'm
next to a landfill. I know some birders, particularly gull enthusiasts, love
them, but I personally think we could have found a better way to dispose of
our social droppings than digging a communal hole to drop them into.
    I agree that the place has rarity potential. And if anybody gets a
Clay-colored Sparrow in those cattails, then maybe my hearing is better than
I thought. Maybe Bonnie ott to go out there and check around for it.
