Hello All,
At about 11:15 AM, I observed an immature Golden Eagle on Wild
Turkey Rd (DE) near Oak Grove, west of Seaford. I saw the bird for 2-3
minutes as it rode the thermals and drifted on the wind to the ESE toward
Seaford. As soon I I lost it over a woods, I ran back home to collect
Shelly and Tori and hope to refind it. We spent the next half hour on
Wild Turkey Rd and Neals School Rd (the general direction of its flight
path). 2 Red-Tails, 4 Black Vulture, 1 male Harrier, 2 adult Bald Eagles
and many TVs later, we gave up the chase. For those taking notes, that is
# 147 here for the year and #183 all time.
Other highlights of the morning's walk on the farm was a late
Prairie Warbler (MD and DE). At least one of the Pine Siskins from
yesterday is still here (DE only).

Good Birding,
Glen Lovelace III
