Just returned home from a week's absence.  Eight of our ten feeder were
empty.
Hoped the four purple finches that came in last week would still be hanging
around.
They weren't.
Filled the feeders and were inundated with more than 50 goldfinches diving in
from all directions.
Thought there should surely be one siskin hanging out with them and there was
- just one!
