Hi MD,

Upon hearing the forecast of strong westerly winds for today, I decided to take a day's vacation and head to the
Town Hill Hawk Watch, Allegany County, MD. It was somewhat slow (i.e., not a lot of birds) but it would be hard
to be disappointed. 7:50 - 4:10 Winds W 15-25 diminishing to 5-10. Temp 42 to 48 to 43. The tally:

Common Loon 7 (5&2)
Turkey Vulture 9
Tundra Swan 43 (5&38)
BALD EAGLE 1 Immature at 2:13
Sharp-shinned Hawk 2
Red-tailed Hawk 29
GOLDEN EAGLE 5 At 8:24, 11:17, 11:19, 2:05 and 2:50. To my eye, 2 adults, 3 immatures.
American Kestrel 1

In a quick stop at Rocky Gap in the a.m.:

Canada Goose 210
Tundra Swan 1
Lesser Scaup 3F
Bufflehead 15 (5M, 10F)
Ring-billed Gull 5

Happy trails ....
