Hi,
This morning Paul Pisano and I birded Hains Point. He had a RED-HEADED
WOODPECKER and I had two flyover Horned Larks. At Anacostia Park we joined
John Hubbell, then all went to Kenilworth Park. There we had several buteos
in view at once (Red-tailed and Red-shouldered), 6 GREAT EGRETS, an adult
Bald Eagle, and a female-plumaged PURPLE FINCH. We ran into Bob Ringler and
Debbie Terry, who saw one or two American Pipits before they joined us.
