During my morning rounds at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro, P.G.
County, on 11/11/04, I was treated to the sight of a dozen Cedar Waxwings,
including one juvenile, taking a communal bath in a small creek flowing
under the boardwalk. They were splashing quite happily and ignored me until
I was within 8 feet or so. Part of a flock of 25-30 waxwings on the western
edge of the pond.

Other notable species (total count=22) include a few winter waterfowl
arrivals:

	GADWALL (3)
	NORTHERN SHOVELER (12+)

	and

	Ruby-Crowned Kinglet (1)
	Laughing Gull (200+, winter plumage)
	Mute Swan (1)

 	Good birding!
