Coopers Hawk Action in Adams Morgan.

At 10:15 this morning in the heart of Adams Morgan DC I witnessed an 
immature male coopers hawk fly off with a rock pigeon.
It was having a hard time with it and crashed through a few branches 
attempting to land with it. He landed on the ground in a safe place to eat. 
I did not stay around for more than a minute for fear of startling the hawk 
off its catch.
This was at cliffbourne and biltmore a block from calvert and 18th street 
the center of busy adams morgan.
This was interesting since I saw another coopers (female immature) less than 
a half mile away while running in Rock Creek Park.
