The big Halethorpe Pond (Ponds 4 & 5 in my recent post) is reached from
I-695 (towards Glen Burnie) by taking exit 9, Hollins Ferry Rd. to the right
(west), and going about two miles to a cross road, and turning left onto
Halethorpe Farms Rd. (there is a Superfresh distribution center on the far
corner where you turn left).  Go about a half mile to the end, and park
along the curb.  Walk around the Patapsco Valley State Park gate, down the
gravel path (under I-895) to the ponds, which are both to the right and to
the left.  The gravel path along the power lines is usually good for
sparrows this time of year.

Getting to any of the other ponds can sometimes be tricky.  If you need some
