I got permission to leave work a little early today to see if I could locate 
the Harlequin Duck at Wades Point Inn (thank goodness for understanding 
bosses).  Even though the wind was blowing a constant 40 mph a decideed to 
give it a try.  The lady at the Inn was very nice showed me where the duck 
had been seen and left me trying to hold my ground against the wind.  There 
were many ducks on the river
but I wasn't able to locate the Harlequin.  The conditions were just poor 
allowing only brief looks at the duck flocks before they would disapear.  
Hopefully the bird will stick around until a calmer day.
