The selasphorus hummingbird was present at about 2:30pm
on 20 December in the Ripley Garden.
On Sunday morning at the same location two Carolina
wrens were seen entering the small opening of the
garbage receptacle near the hummingbird feeder and
descending at least 1.5 feet to the trash level.

On Saturday morning at Hains Point there was a merlin and a
perched bald eagle; a peregrine falcon was on the railroad
bridge. On Sunday morning at Hains Point there were three
merlins and a Cooper's hawk.
