Hi Michael,

In response to your possibly seeing two Eared Grebes at Little Seneca, it's
not impossible but I think highly unlikely that two of these stragglers
made it to the same small lake.  I may have an explanation for what you
were noticing, which is that when I saw the bird a couple of weeks ago, it
seemed to swim very rapidly from place-to-place.  It motored from just in
front of me to the far side of the lake in a few minutes, much faster than
the Buffles with which it was associating.  Just my thoughts...
