The St. Mary's County Kelp Gull was present this morning at 8:50 a.m. when Tyler Bell and I stopped by to check. It was in the presence of Ring-billed and Herring Gulls, plus a few Great Black-backed Gulls. On the water were Long-tailed Ducks, Buffleheads, and Common Goldeneyes. About 20 Canada Geese flew up-river and a Belted Kingfisher was in the marsh behind the Sea Breeze. Four Wild Turkeys (1 tom and 3 hens) were in a field nearby as we left. In the phragmites were White-throated, Swamp and Song Sparrows.
