I am currently not on the ListServer for Osprey.  I recall that a request
was made to post all Rufous sightings or unsuccessful efforts, so i wonder
if you could post the following for me?

I watched for the Rufous on Friday, 7 Jan from 1100 to 1135 without
success. While i was there, i was a silent partner to a discussion between
Warren Strobel (that's only a guess) and the Ripley garden horticulturalist
whose name escapes me at the moment.  They remarked that at banding
recently, the bird weighed 4 oz, which is fat for a hummer.  They
speculated that that fact and the arrival of our front late yesterday, may
have triggered "our" Rufous to move on.  Hope that's not the case.
