Today we have a very large flock of red-wing blackbirds, grackles, cowbirds and starlings cleaning out all feeders and the seed on the ground. We used to see this many birds in the summer on Kent Island, but this is a first here summer or winter.

Like everyone we had manys birds yesterday. Sample:

3 downys
1 sapsucker
2 red-bellies
1 brown creeper that hung around on and off
many (45 last week) white throats (record 52)
1 fox sparrow
juncos
titmice
goldfinches
wrens
chickadees
blue jays
and so on.

For those interested we now have a new email address.
