Yesterday, as I was on my way into Annapolis to drop off papers,
there was a raptor on a lightpost to the side of Route 50. --- By the
time I got off, totally lost, straightened out, and back, it was gone,
but I could see that the light post is well soiled with droppings so it
looks like a favorite perch. Perhaps someone else has seen it there.

I was on Route 50 eastbound just before exit 23. The lightpost is
next to the Koons Ford sign just before the Best Western Motel.

It was a mid to large-ish hawk, dark, with one prominent white or
off-white tail band. Mind you, this was one glance while traveling at
65 mph could be a false impression.

I would be grateful if those of you who travel that corridor would
keep your eyes open or would let me know if you know that
something usually hangs out there. Thanks.

Blessings,
Gayle
