Hi all

I missed the Eared Grebe if it is still at Black Hill Regional Park, but
still had fun in the
cold this morning.

I started birding at Oland Road with not much there.
Horned Lark - 3
Eastern Meadowlark - 1
Merlin - 1 (carrying a mouse!)
Starlings, pigeons, and crows.

At Black Hill I found
Ruddy Duck - more than a hundred
Ring-necked Duck - several hundreds
Canada Geese - nary a Cackler among them
American Merganser - both males and females, about 40
Hooded Merganser - males & females - 9
Common Goldeneye - 3 males
Bufflehead - about 50
Pied Billed Grebe - 6
Ring-billed Gull - 8
Herring Gull - 1
Gadwall - 2
Mallard ( I didn't count)
Tundra Swan - 21 (in two flocks)
American Coot - 22
assorted common passerines
