Hi All in reponse to the above message I to have had Juncos feed at a
suet feeder one of the wooden double platform type that walmart Sells.
Cardinals also eating the Suet . As to Juncos eating thistle seed I
noticed that several years ago and since . but before that saw them feed
on spilled thistle from the ground . They only seem to feed from the feeder
in bad weather though . It seems to me at least to be a learned behavior.
I have one of those upside down thistle feeders that the finches like .
Not this year yet [ knock on wood ] but in other years have seen Red winged
Blackbirds feed from it buy reaching up to the fed ports above them . When
it comes to food they find a way.

Happy Birding
