I checked the waterfowl on the lake at Piney Run Park this morning before the snow set in.  The snow is melting on the streets but formerly bare patches of ground are becoming covered again.  The lake is 99% frozen and the waterfowl are massed around an opening toward the upper end of the lake.  Seen today:
