Hi all,

Just got back from a emergency call few minutes
ago.
Was there anyone else beside me there early at 7am
this morning? I saw one other car but doesn't know
that person. I arrive early around 7am for a short
time and found the lapwing at the unknown pond along
Graceham Rd, almost half mile from Rt 550. I watch
this bird resting at the edge of pond for about 10
minutes before headed back to work. I presume this
pond was the lapwing's roosting spot. I got to work
late at 815am.

I will try again in the afternoon sometimes this week
by getting off early to get more time with this
beautiful bird. My second record, first time was at
Bombay Hook back during New Year Day 2000.

The shoulder was big enough for a bicycle riding, not
good for my oversize truck (F250 XLT Super Duty), had
to use the flashers and stay on the road with no
traffic at this hour. I plan on not to get up that
early again before going to work. It takes too much
stress by getting up at 530am anbd rush to see any
rarity and then dealing with rush hour traffic on my
way toward work in Cockeysville.

Anyway, still a great bird for Maryland.
