I suspose that the chances that the Zoo at Catokin (spelling?) might have
lost a bird has been ruled out. I believe the zoo is near Thurmont. I know
that Lapwings are an expected rarity, but I was just wondering. Can't really
see Lapwings as a zoo bird but who knows....

The spelling is Catoctin. We've taken our nieces there and don't recall them
having much of a bird collection, other than some emus and some ducks. I
doubt if they have or had a lapwing. There is a grizzly bear. But that's not
a bird. I'm sure of that.
