The  habitat is suitable for Collared Dove or Ringed Turtle Dove.  So far I  
have not seen anything written that positively identifies the bird that was  
seen as a Collared Dove.  I sincerely hope the observers were correct in  their 
identification and that additional information will be submitted to the  
Records Committee.  In the meantime other people should get out there and  give it 
a try, and report their sightings, positive or  negative.

 Several years ago my birding partner and I saw what we thought to be  a E. 
Collared-Dove on our sector of the Triadelphia CBC (when I was compiler).  We 
reported it as such at the tally (causing quite a stir, as you can imagine).  
The next day several of us went back to look for it, with no luck, then after a 
 week or 2 away in Florida, I went back and found it. It turned out to be a  
Ringed Turtle-Dove.
