Folks

Perhaps 300 birds (an estimate) have been pillaging our Waldorf yard today.
Highlights were one Chipping Sparrow to go along with the 5 regular species
(3 Fox, 1 Song, 15 White-throat, 4 Eastern Towhee (one was a tailless), and
85 Junco). Also, the male Pine Warbler came in for some suet.

Woodpeckers have been female Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, female Flicker, 6
Downy, 2 Hairy, and 6 Red-bellied so far. I have not checked to see if the
Red-headed is down the road. The 50+ Starlings won't let me out of the
garage.

Others species:

4 Mourning Dove
32 Blue Jay
6 American Crow
7 Carolina Chickadee
9 Tufted Titmouse
4 White-breasted Nuthatch
2 Carolina Wren
1 American Robin - calling off in the distance
2 Eastern Bluebirds - eyeing the nest boxes
16 Northern Cardinal
12 Red-winged Blackbirds
10 Common Grackle
4 House Finch
10 American Goldfinch

Feed the birds, and keep your eyes and ears open.

George
