We went up to Pennsylvania to see the short-eared owls reported last week. Much easier to see than the apparently gone Lapwing (which we took a pass to check for today, too). The owls are incredible -- we have only seen one out on Hart-Miller Island and here were about 20 or so out flying around, hunting, and roosting in broad daylight.
