LEGAL PARKING is now available to see the lapwing on Graceham Road -- SEE
BELOW for details. Please don't park along the road; it's against the law
and wears out our welcome fast. We are very grateful to the local people who
have been so supportive, and owe special thanks to Jan Lawyer.

The Lawyers have set up LAPWING PARKING at the white metal "Morton" building
on the corner of Graceham Road and Rte. 550, marked with STAKES and YELLOW
TAPE. (The parking surface may look like grass but is actually solid and
safe for all vehicles.) From there, it's a short walk to the best viewing
area. We have permission to stand in the fields on either side of the road.
Do NOT stand in the street or set up your scope in the road.

The Lawyers have ALSO given us permission to PARK AT THE TURKEY FARM just
north of Graceham Road on Rte. 550. The address is 13001 Creagerstown
Road -- watch for the big tepee in front of the big, long turkey barns. This
location has a large gravel parking area. You can walk from here, or carpool
to the smaller parking area on the corner.

Please be considerate of the people whose community we're visiting, and best
of luck in seeing the Northern Lapwing.
