I observed and photographed - pictures @ MOS Gallery 2005 - a  Red-headed 
storing and managing corn kernels {similar to an Acorn Woodpecker --  moving the 
corn from location to location to get a tight fit}, as well as  collecting 
kernels from a field a short distance from the storage tree -- a good  acorn crop 
was not present in a very nearby row of oaks!
