Hi All,

The last couple of evenings there has been one Short-eared Owl hunting
at dusk at the end of Cornfield Drive near Point Lookout State Park.
Last night (3-18-05) Anne Bishop and I heard a Great Horned Owl and a
Clapper Rail and saw Wilson's Snipe on the same road. The night before,
my husband and I saw a few new year birds on a nearby road before
spotting the owl and heard American Woodcock later near the entrance to
Point Lookout State Park. The new year birds were: Both yellowlegs and
a Great Egret plus the woodcock.

Good Birding,
Patty Craig
