I've been busy with my new dog so I've been birding "dog friendly" places. Centennial has been our destination of choice and there have been a few birds this last couple days. My first PHOEBE of the year was by the wood dock pond. 3 COMMON MERGANSERS touched down briefly. A singing FOX SPARROW near the maintenance shed. 50 TUNDRA SWANS flying over.

Yesterday a couple SNIPE out on the mudflats. A male GREEN-WING TEAL near 2 female PINTAILS. Some flyover PIPITS and I heard the seet call note of a SAVANNAH SPARROW by the dam.
