Like many others we have been watching hopefully for Tundra Swans flying
over the house, but so far in vain until yestermorning when we settled
for a V of 140 migrating Canada Geese. Then we noticed that the last 2
birds in one of the long arms were in fact swans - a phenomenon I had
never seen before.
This morning about 9 am, seen from Governor Bridge Park in Bowie, two
large V's of swans passed high overhead, totalling about 1000 birds.
A smaller but unusual fly-over was one of 17 Fish Crows - each one
calling distinctively - flying low over the house this afternoon. No
Ravens so far.
