Today I hiked the trails at Patapsco Valley SP, McKeldin Area.  While along the North Branch side of the park I heard a raven call and watched it for about two minutes as it soared above the park and slowly drifted out of sight.  It was moving roughly toward the west.  My only other raven sighting in Carroll County was one seen at the same spot on Apr. 28, 1996 with a bird club field trip.
   In three hours the only migrants I noted were one robin and one cowbird.  Everything else was resident or wintering.
