I birded the Patapsco-Chesapeake Bay area of Northern AA County this
morning. Even with the rain, there were some birds of note.

In the flooded stand of trees off of Kembo road, there was a Little Blue
Heron. Early bird. The area off of Kembo is very close to Fort Carroll and
hosts herons/egrets yearly. Also had 2 Pied-billed Grebes in the same area.
Kembo road is a good birding spot, but one has to be careful of the large
trucks that come through. Please, e-mail me off-list for directions if
interested in checking it out.

Up the same road a bit, at a water impoundment, there were 3 Ring-necked
ducks.

At Venice on the Bay (about 1 mile from Ft. Smallwood) there were several
Bonaparte's Gulls and about 100 DC Coromorants on a pier.

Also, an additional c.150 DC Cormorants on the rock formation at the mouth
of the Patapsco.
