Around noon today (3/30) at Pickering Creek the following birds were
present:
        Osprey
        Bald Eagle
        Turkey Vulture
        Black Vulture
        Wood Ducks
        Green-winged Teal
        Blue-winged Teal (6)
        Ring-necked Duck    (4)
        Tree Swallows  (4)
        Barn Swallows  (4)
        Field Sparrows
        Song Sparrows
        White-throated Sparrows
 
    In late afternoon a visit to the Claiborne region yielded:
        Osprey on nests
        Great numbers of Surf Scoters
        Long-tailed Ducks
        Buffleheads
        Red-breasted Mergansers
        Hooded Mergansers
        Bonaparte's Gulls (8)
        Scads of Yellow-rumped Warblers
