Early a.m., S.Mtn S.P. north of Weverton Bluffs: Typical winter residents
were the backdrop for the first WINTER WRENS singing this year, prob'ly
passing through (at least, none nested there last year), close to the
ridgeline at 1200'ft. No woodcocks passing through tonight, but the first
green frogs uncorked this evening to our delight.

A driveby glimpse of the raging Potomac brought glimpse of about 20 GB
CORMORANTS in a tree by the bridge to Shep'town WV. First time I've seen so
many in a single tree.
