Lots of birds on the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park bike
trail today (though no raptors or crows). New birds for the
season: PRAIRIE WARBLER hanging out with a pair of EASTERN
BLUEBIRDS in the small trees on the west side of the path on
the approach to the first bridge from Cherry Hill Rd. The
ID was based on tail pumping and face pattern (the bird was
distant). Also had a single RUSTY BLACKBIRD (female) in the
wooded section west of the golf course and south of the
swamp.

Lots of WHITE-THROATED SPARROWs (40), AMERICAN ROBINs (30),
NORTHERN CARDINALS (20), CAROLINA WRENS (12), NORTHERN
FLICKERs (6), and DOWNY WOODPECKERs (5), in one hour of
birding from 8 to 9 am.
