Afterward, Bob Ringler and I went on to several
roadside birding spots within a mile or two from state
park. 
Highlight of the trip was 18 Wilson's Snipe, 2
Killdeer, 1 yellow Palm Warbler along Long Neck Rd; 
10 Bonaparte's Gull, 7 Field Sparrow, 2 Savannah
Sparrow and 2 Eastern Meadowlark along Camp Brown Rd; 
2 Clapper Rail, 1 Brown-headed Nuthatch and tons of
passerines along Cornfield Harbor Rd/Cornfield Harbor
Dr; 1 each Great Egret, Brown-headed Nuthatch,
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Brown Thrasher and Pine Warbler
along Rodo Beach Rd/Lake Dr; 3 Common Loon, 2 Laughing
Gull along Airedele Rd.  86 species total for the day
